“If You are Going Through Hell, Keep Going”

''Most entrepreneurs will tell you that you have to be fired from your job before you make it in life or even realize your true potential. ‘This premise is correct, not just because you are losing your job, but because it is out of your adversity and darkness that you see the light, I mean the light that leads to your breakthrough and success.

I believe this analogy is based on the theory that most people who are successful today in our communities, became successful after going through some form of downfall and darkness, with some being homeless, jobless and helpless for many years. Such a conclusion can be seen throughout the life of most of the successful people in the world.
Steve Harvey, BolaRay, Kevin Hart, Colonel Harland David Sanders, Bill Gates, and Jack Ma, and more. All these people among many, have seen their own share of darkness which helped put them at the stage they are in today.

Over the years, we have heard and read of people who lost their jobs, livelihood, and family in the bit to achieve success. Colonel Harland David Sanders got so frustrated after losing multiple jobs and livelihoods and tried to take his own life but was blessed enough to see the light.
Today, in our society, you meet lots of people who have great ideas and business plans but are afraid of taking the chance just because of the fear of failure. Failure is just another opportunity to get it right. Whenever a person fails, it gives him/her the chance to sit back, reevaluate and take a different strategy to achieving his goals. As a child, I grew up hearing the saying “there is no one way of killing a cat.” The cat in our lives are our goals and ambitions, and there is no one way of meeting these goals. If so, why stop after just one try? Always ensure that all possible options are exhausted and I assure you that you will eventually realize your dreams.

Never be afraid to go through hardship and darkness, never stop trying even at your worse or lowest point in life. I once heard a wise man say, “If you are going through hell, keep going.” This statement inspired me to keep working towards my dreams even at the lowest point in my journey to success. Thinking about it, why do most people stop at “hell” even though they don’t like it there? “Hell” in this context or in any other context stands for the hardship, darkness and low points in our lives. If you are going through hell, don’t ever stop there, keep walking and keep going because it is only by walking through it that you eventually find your way out of “hell.”

The life we live is full of ups and downs and in most cases, the down moments come before the up moments, so if you stop at the low point, then you are never going to see the world from the top of the mountain. Don’t stand under the mountain and expect to see the beauty of the world. No matter who you are, or where you are in life, Hardship, challenges and down moments are bound to come your way, it is however left onto you to either overcome them or stay there.
I have resolved to look beyond my down moments and darker times and look to my future aspirations and goals because I will not be fulfilled until I have tried over and over again to meet all my goals.

Where do you look and wish to be in the future, that is your comfort zone and not where you are currently. Until you have achieved your goals don’t be comfortable.
