My Principles to Success

Success in not measured by the amount of money you have in the bank, but the amount of peace you have within. Money is just the bye product of success, so strive to do what you love doing and what makes you happy. That inner peace should be at the top of your vision board, so that any goal you set will be aimed at bringing you the peace you longed for. These principles that I write about, represent to me a guide to meeting my vision and nothing will excite me so much than to have everyone reading this to join me in adopting these simple principles as a guide in this road to success. The principles below are not just concepts, but they are principles which have been tried, tested and proved to be realistic. All of us are blessed with dreams on who and what we wish to be, but lacks the directions on how to make these dreams and visions a reality. Following these simple steps will in the long run lead you to your desired end.

God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that you think and ask for.
God is in the business of blessing His children so much that they will not even have room to contain it.That is the reason why He gave us the mind and ability to dream of whatever we want to be in life and believe that He will see us through. God does not promise a smooth and straight road in life, but He promises to be by our side through out the time. So be free and willing to dream, There are no limitations to how big you can dream.

Believe in your dream.
Any dream you have was given to you for a purpose, and no one is responsible for believing in it. They can encourage you, but they are not entitled to believe in your dreams. The first step to realizing your dreams is to believe you can do it.

Develop a vision board.
Having a vision board hanging in your room, on the mirror or in your office is proven to keep you focus on your visions in life. A vision board basically keeps you informed on what your goals and objectives in life are, it also keeps you updated on how well you are moving towards that vision. Like I said Inner peace should be at the top of your vision board.

Be truthful to your vision.
The only way one can fully meet their goals is to be truthful to their purpose. Be truthful in making sure that every single thing you are doing is aimed at achieving your ultimate vision. Even if you are picking up a new job when really you want to start your own, the purpose for which you pick up the job should be either to gain practical knowledge or to earn money which will be saved  as capital for your own business.

Your hope should be tied to the things you have the talent for.
No matter what your visions are, it should be within your strengths.Yes! you can learn to do the things you want in life, but these visions should be realistic. You can't say you want to be a professional footballer and be at age 40. You can't become a professional footballer at that age. If your vision is in football and you at age 40, you can re-focus that dream in becoming a football coach or a manager.

You are a magnet and whatever you are, you draw to yourself.
This is one of the things I learnt from one of my mentors (Steve Harvey). He said that "each and everyone of us is a magnet, and whatever we are, we draw to us." If we are negative, we are going to draw negative people to us and if we are positive, we will draw to us positive people. Now if you want to be successful, you have to be what you envision yourself to be and you will draw to yourself like minded people.

Every adversity has a blessing and a lesson.
Every single challenge or failure you encounter in life, always remember that there is a lesson to be learnt from it, perhaps the exact things that you shouldn't do.  Every challenge you face, be it a failed marriage, failed businesses or a failed relationship, it gives you a valued lesson that brings you one step closer to success.

Avoid addressing critics.
In his book "Jump" Steve Harvey said that every moment we spend addressing a critic is a valuable moment you take away from your dream. Spending time to address a negative blog or rumor about you is a valuable time you are throwing away. You don't owe any critic an explanation. "Do you and be you."

Do not stop opening new doors because God does not stop unlocking doors for you.
Just because the last five doors you opened were shut in your face does not mean that there are no doors that are meant for you. God has never stopped opening up new opportunities for His children, every single day that you wake up healthy and alive means that there are opportunities that you haven't taken advantage of.

 Invest in your vision.
No one will invest their time and money in your dream if you don't believe and invest in it yourself. Invest your time, money,Prayers and attention in your vision. Do not live your life waiting and expecting other people to invest in you, Start the process and people will join in pushing you to the top.

 Do not fit in, Stand out.
Many of us are known to easily try to fit in our society, live a simple life and just stay averagely. Living in our comfort zone would not get us to the places we wish we were. we should take a leap of faith out of our comfort zone, try new things and keep grinding to meet our vision. It is only by taken that one step of leaving your comfort zone behind to step into our vision that will get us where we want to be in the near future.


These principles are very helpful in meeting our visions. Some of these visions were adopted from some of my favorite books and people such as Steve Harvey and Eric Thomas. I encourage all to take these basic principles as a daily guide to achieving your vision.

My challenge to all persons who strive for success.
Whoever you are and whatever you may be going through, I challenge you to believe in your dreams and vision, no matter what this world might tell you( it can't be done, someone tried it and failed, it's not easy or you are too weak to make it in life) They didn't succeed in it because that dream wasn't given to them, that dream was given to you and it is there for you to accomplish it.
